I’m Jesper, a Product Designer based in Copenhagen

I have more than 8 years of experience creating digital products that balance user needs, business goals and technology. My work spans startups, enterprises and regulated healthcare, and I have led design from early research to production-ready solutions.

Most recently, I worked as an Advanced UX Designer at Novo Nordisk, where I led UX and UI design for an AI-powered product that enables people with a rare condition to perform a complex procedure safely without prior training. The role strengthened my ability to navigate complexity, align cross-functional teams and design safe, intuitive experiences in a regulated environment.

Before that, I worked at Lobyco (Coop Denmark) on the Scan & Pay service, used by over one million customers and now responsible for more than 20% of all in-store transactions across Denmark. I improved key user journeys, delivered core features and helped grow the design team by mentoring three student designers.

I hold a Master’s degree in Interaction Design from the IT University of Copenhagen, along with earlier studies at the University of Technology Sydney and Roskilde University.

My approach combines structured research, conceptual exploration and hands-on design. I enjoy turning insights into clear solutions and helping teams bring clarity and momentum to complex product challenges.

Outside of work, I like to slow things down and enjoy life from different angles.

One of my quirkiest hobbies is competing in Mario Kart 64 tournaments, including the Danish championships. I never win, but my main goal is to beat my older brother. It’s a fun tradition filled with nostalgia, friendly rivalry, and focus.

I’ve also gone deep into home coffee brewing. I experiment with beans, grind sizes, water temperatures, and brewing methods in search of the perfect filter coffee. I love discovering subtle flavors, cooking slow and flavourful meals, and pairing them with a good glass of wine.

When I need to recharge, I seek out nature. Sometimes that means scuba diving and exploring new places above and below the surface. Other times it is simply enjoying the quiet.

I’m also a movie geek and lifelong music lover. Each summer I go to music festivals or hunt for hidden cinematic gems.

These things keep me curious, grounded, and inspired in my work.
